I have 3 Siemens Saturn III's that I'm responsible for. Once in a while I run across a problem that I can't figure out, and was looking to see if anyone out there who knew Siemens Saturn was still around, or still remembered their way around one.

I'm also looking for a source for various parts (I have lots, but am in short supply of some key items).

Thanks!

Justin
We used to service them and have a guy that is (was I suppose) certified on it.
Good to know. Thanks!

Any parts still around (especially DYAD's)?

Just what is the once in awhile problem?
When I first started working for Siemens I installed and serviced the Saturn line of PBX's. It's been quite some time since I worked on one but I might be able to help.
I have installed and serviced 100's of them. It has been awhile but I still remember them well.

Actually their website is outdated. I called them and was told they were out of stock, and had no plans on restocking. They referred me to eBay or other sources found through a web search. :bang: How's that for service? I guess it's to be expected, for something as old as the Saturn, and with fewer and fewer of them left in service.

The occasional problem is more the occasional question. With each one, I get better at working on the Saturn, as I'm doing what any tech does: try to figure it out myself. Still, it's good to know there are still people around who I can lean on with the occasional question. I hope you guys stick around the board. smile

So since Siemens isn't stocking DYAD's anymore, who else sells or repairs them?

Thanks!

Justin
Man, wish I would have seen this 5 years ago. Probably threw away 20+ and sold off the consoles not to mention the SATIIe and SATIII we had in the tech lab. Actually had someone call the other day, I can't believe it, but a functioning SD192 in a nursing home.
You know, other than the volatile memory batteries not working on any of my three, it's amazing how reliable and serviceable these old DIGITAL systems have been.
