We have done 2 different T1 card installs in the last year, both proved to be disasters, NEC engineering had to send out a new T1 card with updated firmware after weeks of arguing between them and the local provider on whos equipment was at fault.

The 2nd company on the 2nd T1 install was worse, it has taken 4 months, this time both NEC and SBC were at fault but most of the problems were with the DS2000. Using system history data sent to engineering new system software and firmware for the T1 card was re-design and sent out to us. This has cleared up 99 percent of our problems with the channels locking up.

Have any of you through out the country have had problems with T1 installs. We are in St Louis, MO. Thanks for any input.

P.S we have a third install coming up.

the t-1 card for the ds series is fairly new.......you can expect little tics to crop up as expected with any new release card for any system........

stay tuned for the DSX......Aspire dealers are already up in arms!!!!!!

Well, I can safely say if it's like the ds1000 and ds2000 we have ZERO to worry about. Here is a useful link for DS guys/gals.

I dont think the little DS 2000 is ever gonna have 384 ports either.

Trying to compare the Aspire to DS series is like the Lamborgini to a jeep.

I was told that the ds2000 will have an increase in ports, but to what extent I have no idea.

Any one have any word on the DSX that will supposedly replace the ds series? What I've heard is sketchy!

the dsx phones look like the aspire phones....

the dsx will replace the ds series, although you can use the ds phones on the dsx....

the dsx will not be a total IP system. but will use some type of a gateway device, to utilize this service....

This is all I am getting through the grapevine...I just hope they wont flood the Internet with this system like the DS....

gs, they already sell this system via Graybar. You can bet someone somewhere will figure out they can ebay this system.

Coral tech , you mean they are already selling the DSX at Graybar?

No, the DS series. Without a doubt it will be sold there as well.

The DSX is suppose to be out this summer without VoIP. It will have PRI capability according to our Rep.

As far as the orginal question, we've got 1 T-1 install and we trouble shot it for months, system resets, dropped calls. Eventually we got update firmware and its been stable since. This is typical for a new piece of hardware from anyone.
