about to purchase the system - are the speakerphone full duplex?

no , I cant think of any "system" phone that offers full duplex speaker phone.

you can use a analog duplex speaker phone on one of the analog ports

NEC has full duplex phones in the works for the DSX series. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for them, and I am not aware of an expected release date yet.

As Skip said, you can add a Polycom, or some other analog device for full duplex conferencing on an analog port until then.

Avaya has a full duplex system. Didn't want to spend the $$ - looks like the DSX should meet my needs. Compared to Norstar & Avaya - looks like it's better bang for the buck. Ya think I'm right?

Mitel and Telred also have full duplex speakerphones.
