hi, having an issue with a new install of acd mis. have installed the suite and have got the server connected and running. created the queues and agents within adc mis admin. when i try to login with the monitor program, it lets me select user name and enter password, but when i click login, the program does not open, nothing happens and the login screen disappears.

i have v5.0 sv8100 with these licences:

2001 ACD Related ACD 1 Never
2002 ACD Client 512 Never
2101 ACD P-event 1 Never
2102 ACD-MIS Basic 1 Never
2103 ACD-MIS Add.Monitor 1 Never
2104 ACD-MIS Agent 1 Never

on the server i am getting this message in the feed:

Retrieving licenses...
LicenseHandler state = REQUEST_SERVERS
LicenseHandler state = REQUEST_MONITORS
LicenseHandler state = REQUEST_CLIENTS
LicenseHandler state = IDLE
Licenses retrieved:
0 Servers
0 Monitors
0 Clients

and next to the monitor users, reports users, and agent clients within the server program i have blank fields.

any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like the server app is not retrieving the licenses from the SV8100. Blocked port in the network maybe?? You may have to call the TAC on this one..

if your 60 day trial is on it might not work.

maybe this helps.

If this is the latest software (as of the January/February, then you will want to run a script file at the beginning of each month to restart the server (or at least the software). Evidently the new software doesn't start a new database every month without a restart. FOund this out after installing one @ end of December, went to look at reports in late January and found nothing there except for a few days for end of Dec.

I wrote the BA file to just restart the server since the MIS is the only thing runnng on it and it was much simpler than trying to figure out how to shut down the program and restart it

Hi Bill.

Thanx for the info. That's not going to go down too well with companies who insist on putting the ACDMIS on their main domain server.. I always tell customers to reboot their ACDMIS server every month as I have seen this lack of roll over on older versions of ACDMIS as well..

Hi guys,

We had the same issue with ACD MIS Server Licenses.

The old server was gone and the new server didn't retrieve the license from PBX.

My supervisor spoke with NEC guys and they told him to Delete Terminal License of TCP Interface using MB 90-41-01 by handset because the PBX record the MAC address when release the licenses.

For ACD MIS server License code was 000021***

After that all was good.
Have a good day!

With regard to rebooting the server, can't you just stop and start the ACD/MIS services?

Hi,

Usually, to reboot the server ..... I change the IP in ACD/MIS Server application with a random one, ACD/MIS Server application will reboot automatically and after that I put the correct IP in the ACD/MIS Server application.

In this way I reboot ACD/MIS server application.

I hate to revive an old thread, but it seems like this would make things simpler;

We're having the same issue with the licenses at our company right now. Our main computer running the server died, so we installed the software on a different computer. Input identical settings and we're getting this license issue stated above.

Someone did mention in this thread to delete the terminal license of the TCP, but I'm not sure what the process of doing this would be.

Would anyone be able to help?

You might want to call your vendor in to clear the license.
