I have a cutomer that is saying whenever they put calls on park 4
The calls drop (only park 4)
They where at rls. 2.50 I upgraded to 3.50
But they said it's still happening
The PRI is in cabinet 2
They said it's been happening for about 3 months
Not sure where to look or what it could be
Sometimes the call droops immediately
Any thoughts?
Couple things, check programming on that key make sure it is a park key. Then if it's like one phone having the issue and it's a bad key.
I have swapped out the phone already and upgraded the system
I know what your saying about the key
from what they are saying the call drop's right away
FYI
They only use Park 4 for calls that are out on the production floor
all other calls use park 1,2,3
crazy!!
From what they are saying. You need to confirm.
I don't know how many times over the years what the client said and what was actually happening were 2 different things.
It could be 1 phone picking up the call and it drops because of a bad hook switch, just saying.
Check you settings on that park. You can set it so only certain phones have access. Check 24-03 (I think)
Why not replace park 4 to another park like 6 and test.
Park 4 problem resolved !
The first time I tested this problem was round 4:30pm I could not make it happen
They said it was happening for about 6 Months on & Off
we upgraded software /change to park 5
They mentioned the park 4/5 problem is still happening and getting worse .I said can we create it and they said the could
They made several calls and parked them and they dropped every time
Then I was livening up a new extension /Programming some other things
at the same time testing
Made several calls Parked them and they would drop
but one time I heard something in the background but no one was speaking
I said hello and Al in the production area started to speak with me
I said Al why did you pick up this call and he said it was ringing on his phone
I said Al how long have you been working here "about 6 Months"
what are your hours 7 to 3:30
problem solved Al in production was picking up the calls all along
why he wasn't saying hello is another mystery
That's hilarious. And unfortunately, the kind of thing that happens all too often in our business. I have had networked UX5000s develop issues with parked calls, and on occasion I have simply abandoned a park number. Maybe Al used to work where I had issues.......
Thanks for sharing - I needed a laugh!
Thanks Al the phone mans pal.....not
so who eats the time and service calls to figure that problem out?
