I've got a logitech webcam that I'm trying to get fired up so the in-laws can see the rugrats. What service do I, and the in-laws use to see each other? They have the same model camera on their end and we both have DSL connections. Any suggestions would be appreciated. When I google "webcam" what comes up is not quite what I had in mind.

Net meeting works. It's probably already on your machines. (assuming you use windows)but it has limited features.

Johnyreb you should have some documention on your webcam as far as setting it up. If not go to Logitec's website and look around. Otherwise you need to set up a static webpage to display the images or you need to know each others IP address. The computer needs some direction on where to get the images. Have you looked into CUSeeMe software? Go to www.cuseeme.com and it will allow you to set up a video chat using almost any camera. Broadband is recommended on both ends to stream video. Good Luck
