What is the best way to create a backup drive for a Key Voice Small Office Lite? My customer is worried that the current drive will fail and there voicemail will be down. I would like to install a second drive as a slave and have them backup to this drive nightly but I am not sure how to get the original DOS software, what version I need, and what files need to be copied. Thanks for you help and suggestions.
I have done backups to the floppy drive, but the drive is becoming faulty.
You'll need DOS 6.22. I'd do an XCOPY and copy the whole drive.

So if I do xcopy do I still need to install DOS 6.6?

XCOPY is a DOS command

to copy drive c to drive d you would do this:

c:\>xcopy c:\*.* d:\*.* s/h/e/v

I would also make sure that when setting up the second drive, you first make sure it is bootable. That way you downtime is minimal.

I use Norton Ghost to create an ghosted image of the drive. I use a couple of USB drive adapters and plug them into my laptop. Take about 10 minutes and you have a spare drive. The only thing the customer needs to be aware of is that they may lose some messages if the drive goes down.
