A friend of mine wants to connect an Avaya Partner phone that's in a different building. (Barn). They have the buried cable needed.
I know about IROBS, but....
1. What else is needed termination wise?
2. How deep does the cable need to be buried?
3. Can buried cable be run overhead?

1. What else is needed termination wise? laugh Grounding. If you have a MEP issue, interior cable and splice closures.

2. How deep does the cable need to be buried? Depending on local ground conditions, 36 inches or 32 inches of coverage. This could change due to local conditions such as rocks, frost line, or local utilities.

3. Can buried cable be run overhead? :nono: Yes, if lashed to a support strand. It is not recommended, but, yes.

If MEP stands for Multiple Electronic Personalities, I don't have an issue with that.
"Yes you do!" argue "No, I don't"
