Newbie question: I recently contracted with Broadview to provide T1 service and a package of PRI numbers. They also are putting two of my three POTS lines (Verizon) onto my T1 as DIDs.

Can I cancel my POTS numbers with Verizon?

TIA!

I would think they will be ported over to Broadview so all further dealings will be with them- except for the one line still with Verizon.

Verizon should automatically stop billing for the two lines, but after they are working on your Broadview account check your Verizon bill.

If you have questions contact your Broadview rep.

Thanks for the quick reply Hal. Its been several months and I'm still getting billed for the POTS by Verizon! Verizon says they control the lines; Broadview says they do!

Hence, the confusion....

Contact the Verizon Business Office and have them update their records.

The very next second the 3 pots numbers have been ported into the broadview PRI & you have proved they actually call into the PRI, then cancel the Verizon lines.

Just because the numbers have been ported from verizon to a new carrier, verizon will still bill you, they don't care, you have to tell them.
