I have a customer who wants to relocate the telco room about 30 feet over. Room is one of those old raised floor computer rooms which over the years looks like service providers used to drop or mount their equipment on the wall. There is a 5 rack Litespan 2000 with lots of cards (all showing alarms)

My question is what type of circuits were used and are these Litespans still in use?

It depends on the cards. They could have been Pri.'s, T-1, E&M to name a few. If they are all in alarm I would think they have been disconnected. You could unplug it and see if anybody screams.

There should be a phone number on the equipment rack. Call and tell them to get their equipment out (if it's not being used) or else you'll start charging them rent.

If there's no phone number trace the cables and see where they go. The end user ought to have a phone number.

Good advice from John and Sam. I'll get the landlords permission before I pull the plug.

Or the end user that rented space there 5 years ago...
