Anyone got a copy of the EVMC 5.270 software lying around. I know it was a very buggy version but I specifically need it as part of a repair.

I looked all over the Edge and even the Inter-tel ftp to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is EVMC the voicemail? I have an old axxess system and my voicemail PC died with the software, no disks etc,

I'm using DB connector version 5.3.4.6 if that helps?

What exactly does 5.2FB refer to? Are you able to send me the install files etc?

Thank You,

OK this is going to get lengthy...

X.xxx or 5.2FB

Major Version is 5. Minor version is 2. F is the Compatibly Number between call processing and voice mail and B is the and the sequence number.

An emergency version (i.e., a post-production “patch” release that fixes a problem in the production version) takes the same format as the production version.

In the above notation,
•X begins with 1 and advances with each new major release.
•x begins with 0, advances through 9, then goes to A and advances through Z (upper case), skipping O and I (because they look too much like zero and one).
•Phase is Pre-Alpha, Alpha, and CPI. Production does not require a phase, but the version numbers remain the same.

Major Version Number:

The major version number starts at one and advances with each major release. For example, the major version is one for AXXESS 1.0, AXXESS 1.1, and AXXESS 1.000 - CPI. The major version is two for AXXESS 2.0 and AXXESS 2.000 - CPI.

Minor Version Number:

This value starts at zero at each major release begins and advances with each minor release. For example, the minor version is one for AXXESS 1.1 and AXXESS 1.100 - CPI. The minor version number is two for AXXESS 1.2 and AXXESS 1.200 - CPI.

Compatibility Number:

This value starts at zero when (1) the major version number changes, (2) the minor version number changes or (2) the product development phase changes. The compatibility number advances each time we create a frozen version that includes a database change. The compatibility number allows us to determine if the system components (Call Processing, Database Programming, and AXXESSORY Talk) are compatible (i.e., will “run” together).

Two components are compatible if they have the same major version number, minor version number, compatibility number, and product development phase. For example, 3.010 - CPI is compatible with 3.011 - CPI (as well as any other 3.01x - CPI). However, 3.010 - CPI is not compatible with any of the following versions: 2.010 - CPI (wrong major version), 3.110 - CPI (wrong minor version), 3.020 - CPI (wrong compatibility number), and 3.010 - Alpha (wrong product development phase).

Sequence Number:

This value resets to zero whenever the compatibility number resets to zero or advances. The sequence number advances when we create a frozen version that does not include database changes. Note that the three system components (Call Processing, Database Programming, and AXXESSORY Talk) will not always have the same sequence number. Each component can have a different number, and the system will still operate properly as long as the major version, minor version, compatibility, and product development phase for the components match.

You asked, I delivered. Hope this helps in your ventures,

Wow, somehow my account seems to have been deleted?

Anyway reading that makes me think I was very lucky to randomly download the correct version of the session manager! smile (or how do I check what version phone system I actually have?)

Would anyone be able to PM this new account with a version of the EVMC software I could use?

I got very close to finding some here:
https://www.filewatcher.com/b/ftp/7...%20Software/Voice%20Mail/EVMC/OS2-0.html

But the host had password protected it by the time I found it frown

Did you get this taken care of, or do you still need 5.270?
