I have recently been put in charge of a Definity switch with ECS Rel. 8.3 and I am trying to find a way to dial a Trunk Access code to pick up an individual trunk for testing purposes.

Also, I would like to know if there is a cable for the TN7222B that terminates into an RJ-45 so I can plug directly into a CSU

There is a facility access code that I've seen/used in the past that will let you dial something like XXX0120304 where XXX is the code you define, 01 is the system, 2 is the carrier, 03 is the card slot, and 04 is the port on the card. I've tried to set it up on another system but didn't have any luck getting it to work from scratch.

What type of line are you trying to TAC? If its pots then make sure you have a COR with facility access trunk test = y. The dial the FAC, followed by the trunk slot. 01A0301 for example. A=1, B=2, C=3, etc... V=8 You will then get dial tone form the line.

What is a TN7222B? I think thats a typo. If it's a DS1 Board you can use an integrated CSU from Avaya. 120A3 or 120A4 plugs directly onto the anphanol output of the switch. You can plug your T1 or PRI directly into that CSU via RJ45.

Are you refering to a TN 722B DS1 board if you are that's an old board...what type of CSU are you using with this circuit? That would help....

It sounds like you are trying to use the TAC codes. You can find them under "disp tr ??". At the top of the first page of the trunk group from it will show you. To make this easy place a verify button on your phone. To bypass ARS you can hit the verify button, put in the TAC (say it's 12). Dial 12001 and that is trunk member 001 of this group. It will not work on PRI or DID. It will work for CO or your outgoing trunks.
