We are trying to set-up a PRI on the Summit System in our lab. We have a default MBX and the PRI works just fine you can make calls and receive calls, but we move the PRI over to the Summit and you can only receive calls. We have done numerous traces's and sent them to Vertical who has passed them on to LG. This has been going on for about two weeks now and no one can seem to find the problem.

We are the carrier as well using a Nortel DMS-10. The called party seems to be fine but the carrier is seeing ???? coming down the line for the "Calling party" and tells me it needs to be Local # in ISDN for 7 digits and National i# in ISDN for 10 digits. I have tried changing every option I can see in PGM 150 and 151 and can't seem to get it to work. LG wants more traces done.

Recap---Summit System PRI does anybody have any info on settings they have made using a PRI with the Summit. Genband tells me the DMS-10 and CS1500 provide the same PRI settings so if anybody has any dealings with either switches and can help out I would appreciate and input. Thanks in advance

Did you program a number in PGM 113, Button 10?

You have not described what happens when you call out. If you are getting a recording saying the number cannot be dialed then the field that Nfcphoneman mentioned has to be populated with an active ten digit number that belongs to the site using the Summit or it has to be empty. This is true of an SBX as well. You used to be able to populate that field with all zeros or any number but now it has to be a "real" seven or ten digit number. The default on the Summit is three...the extension number.

We have done the programming in pgm 113. We get an error on the display that says "ISDN LINE RELEASED Reg channel not avail" We get this error because the carrier is not happy with the Calling Number Plan and errors put

The carrier which is us has done a trace and this is what we see coming from the phone system.

CHAN ID: .18 .03 .A9 .83 .81
INTERFACE TYPE: .CHAN_TYPE_PRI
CHANNEL SELECTION INFO: .Q9_CH_SL_B1_PRI
NUMBER: 1 DEC
CLG PTY NO: .6C .05 .01 .80 .31 .30 .30
NUMBER PLAN: ????
PRESENT: .ALW_USR_NOT_SCR
DIGITS: 100
CLD PTY NO: .70 .08 .80 .38 .35 .37 .33 .32 .31 .31
NUMBER PLAN: .UNK_#_IN_UNK
DIGITS: 8573211

The Calling Party Number Plan is ???? the carrier will not process the call until it see either
LOC_#_IN_ISDN or NAT_#_IN_ISDN----carrier states until they see this it will not work

Programming on the summit per Vertical and LG I think I have tried almost every setting I can find and set it National just trying to get a call to go thru.

You'll probably just have to wait on E-LG. The only thing that stands out to me is that your outgoing CID is only 7 digits, instead of 10.

I did have a weird issue with a PRI on an E-LG IPECS a couple of years ago. Tech Support sent the trace to Korea and the engineers had a firmware patch the next day.

We have tried 10 digits as well. We have sent several traces to LG over the last few weeks. They are requesting even more traces so we will get them and try again.

I would try setting all calling plans in pgm 150 to unknown.
