Will an SX-5 support Supersets, or only SLT's?

Arthur, I believe the SX5 came out (And was recalled) before the 1st SS was released. But, I've been wrong before! smile John C. (Not Garand)

Thanks, how about an SX-10?

SX10E generic 103, Yes I believe so. Also SX20 generic 503, definitely, I've got one on the shelf!. But, in both cases, unless its a SS1, you must have a SS line card. (SS1 is nothing but a HIGH dollar S/L phone) But Arthur, if you'll just come down to Fayetteville, I'll fix you up with an SX100, 216 generic and trunk, S/L and SS cards. N/C, if you don't complain about the trip. Wait a minute, haven't we had this conversation before? smile John C. (Not Garand)

I was in your neck of the woods for training for a while. Large men yelling at me is all I can remember.

You'all come on up here, and have some good Yankee cooking. Bring the switch.

216 won't do ss4s! You'd need a 217 !!!
With the price of gas, it'd be a long way back to get one!!!

DUH, he's right, but I've got 2 217 generics, as well. Just need to replace the 'tard 'ol battees'. And of course, 1 PCB would be easily mailable/ups able. John C. (Not Garand)

Is there still an SX10 available?

Not since John left us, Bless his Heart!

I would love to find an SX5 or SX10, working. Have antique rotary phones in victorian showrooms, but the old 5 and 10 would handle all the functions with those. Anyone have one for sale?

The "working" part is the catch. I'm pretty willing to sell, in a bundle, all Mitel SX5/SX10/Super10 parts I have. That's one of each, at least, with the display and any amount of SS-IV's you can use (like I have at least 6 for the deal) but I'm not going to test or warranty anything.

Under separate cover I responded to your PM. Perhaps you didn't get it as I used the email system instead of the direct response of the board.

I'm (still) looking for a Mitel SX-5 or SX-10. I now have a collection of 3 other pbx's, and none of them work like our old SX-5. We use rotary phones at the extensions, and the SX-5 used all of our calling features with rotary. SX-5 or 10 anyone? . . .

At least look for a SX-20. All the features of the SX-5 and 10 are in the 20 and you'll have more success finding a 20. In addition, you can, with Generic 503, use Superset 3 and 4.

What the 20 won't do is take rotary/pulse phones. with the 5 (and I understand sx10 also) I can control all call functions with a pulse phone. They don't require * or # for anything.
