We have an Intertel CS5000 phone system.
Our agents are using the Intertel 8560 handsets. The problems is that when doing an intercom call to another ext the handset auto connects. Before it was only answered on lifting the handset whilst now it just answers after 1-2 rings by itself and goes straight to speakerphone.
Can you please advise what can be at fault?
There is a feature code to enable/disable Handsfree Intercom. Leave the handset down and enter 319 at the phone that is going offhook to answer IC. The display should read Handsfree OFF following the code entry.
