I had a new customer call me today.
They have a CICS 2.0 Norstar.
They have had this for over 15 years - so it is not that they don't know how to use it.

They have been using the Auto Attendant in the system not any Voice Mail Unit.
At night they turn the NON-BUSINESS setting ON.
When they come in the morning they turn it off.

Recently when they turn it off, it says that it is off, but it still answers for NonBusiness.
They have to do it a second time or sometimes a third time for it to turn off.

Any ideas on this one? I have almost never worked with internal AA.
When I did it was SO long ago I don't remember.

Customer was asking if this is a sign the system will die.

I appreciate any input, feedback, or something to try.

I don't recall internal AA on these systems.

This issues could be simple as the button on the controlling phone going bad. Move the feature to a different button.

Yea, it might be a sign! ha I believe it was called "System Answer", wasn't it? I know we have an old 2.0 guide, if I can find anything on it I will send it to you.
