when someone calls in on co1 the kx-t7731 co1 light turns on but you can't answer it before the disa comes on. it says "co in use" i have adjusted the "DISA Delayed Answer Time" settings to 12 seconds with no luck. any ideas?

If you have set the line mode to disa and ogm 1 then the call will go directly to that mode and wait until a option is selected or overflow to operator extension.

If you want it to ring first set line mode as ucd with intercept to disa and select ogm for disa.

you need to record an ogm for disa
and I don't do enough of the analog
to know if that ogm card is even in the 8x24

OBT,
MY ONLY OPTIONS UNDER LINE MODE TYPE ARE
NORMAL
DIL
DISA
MODEM

What exactly is UCD?

UCD must only be in the European units, sorry.

JoJon the ogm/disa cards are extra here,

Jho what exsactly do you want the calls to do when a call comes in.

OBT,
I would like C01 to ring on all of the phones and if no one picks up after lets say 2 calls I would like the DISA to pick up.
Posted By: MrGemini Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 11:21 AM
If I understand the original question, the DISA is picking up after 12 secs. it's just that none
of the phones ring before that.
If that is the problem then the ringing assignments need to be set for the phones you want to ring. 408 409 and 410 with no delay in 411 412 and 413. also make certain that the ringers are on at the phones.

Thank you for the reply.
408,409, and 410 are enabled and 411,412,and 413 are set to immediate. The LED does actually flash but when you press to pickup it say co in use it the stops flashing once the user is in the DISA. The ringer on the station is turned on and rings when the DISA transfers the caller to the phone.

To be honest, there is no intercept ( in uk version) so you would have to put it in to the disa first and then there is no incoming call groups so it could ring one extension at a time if you set up extension group. if you have a answering machine on the last extension it will pick it up. this is a basic unit.
The only way to use Disa is call comes in set AA for 1 for ext 101 ext call rings to that extension if you have smv card Fwd that extension to BV on no answer.

If the USA unit has somthing else to offer, one of the USA techs will let us know.

MrG if the line mode is set to disa, even with delay it will stop the phone from picking up the call?
Posted By: Jojon Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 11:40 AM
you wont get the ta to do intercept routing period.maybe in the the -5 they wake up there
at panasonic ....

I have recorded OGM1 and it does work. I don't think i have an ogm card but maybe i do if i can record the ogm. I do have an TVA50.
Also i do have the "DISA Delayed Answer Time" settings to 12 seconds. Why is this capability so difficult to enable. You would think that getting the phone to ring from c01 and picking it up would be simple, right?

Jojon over here if the ogm on the disa in the 50 is not recorded it will ring the operator phone

Jho, do you have a disa card or a tva 50 connected to the system
Posted By: Jojon Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 11:51 AM
update it comes out of the box here with ogm card.
I don't do this system because of no intercept
routing and 12 button sets.and if you use dil 1:1
and point lines at disa and set a 12 sec delay
it is going to ring off with a solid light
and will pick up at ogm1 if recorded after 12 secs.1:1 has always superceded flex ringing it is just how it works.
Posted By: jho Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:03 PM
Yes it is connected to a tva50 through jacks 7 & 8. Jojon could you go over that fix again? when i select DIL it just allows me to select what jack to go to but not DISA. Disa is it's own option.
Posted By: OBT Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:08 PM
Jho you dont use disa with the tva fitted just put a delay ring on extension 7 and it will go to the tva 50 and use custom services
Posted By: Jojon Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:09 PM
if connect with console you look at line mode you have five choices>normal, bv ,disa ,dil, or modem . dil 1:1 is not really the right description for this paticular switch but you get the idea.
Posted By: OBT Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:14 PM
JoJon, he has a tva 50 on the ports 7&8. forget Disa it can work with the tva.
Posted By: Jojon Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:19 PM
O if you he can live with those options
with it picking up right away or with delayed ringing thats fine I agree.
Posted By: OBT Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/08/08 12:24 PM
Set the line to normal, put the extensions 1 -6 to ring and set extension 7 to delay ring 2-3 rings. have a custom service set up in tva it will answer after delay and try the extension sellected or set to leave a message
Posted By: 1A2DIGITAL Re: TA824 DISA incoming problem. - 04/10/08 11:33 AM
OBT has the right answer, delay ring to 5, 10 or 15 sec and answer with a custom service menu. Jho, are you a security or sound installer or telephone tech.
