Hi!

Two questions:

1)We currently have both the KX-TA624 and TVS-50 working for one business. Currently, ext 107 (jack 7), and ext. 108 (jack 8) go to port 1 and port 2 on the TVS-50. I wanted to move voice mail from jack 8 to jack 15, but when I do it doesn't work. I've reconfigured Voice Mail 1 from Port 7 & 8 to just port 7 (after first disabling), then Voice Mail 2 to Port 15. port 7/ext 7 works fine, but 115 stays busy.

2)I read that changing extensions so that they do not match the 'jack number' is a pain. I can access the cables to switch the jacks at the KX. Is there any reason why it wouldn't make sense to re-wire the jacks to so they represent a more logical extension order?

Thanks!
Kevin

There is no harm or foul in changing flexible ext
numbering if you document it. That's why they are called "flexible". Back in the day I'd renumber jack 07 and 08 on a small 3x6X2 install as 165+166 . Then if I added an expansion card later you could keep numbering exts logically ...I even made jack 01 100 and 0 . I hate 101 being the operator.
