Does anyone know what a MicroMod T-1 Protector is and what it does? One of my customers had to get several bids from different vendors and one of the vendors told her she needed this to add T-1/ISDN PRI to her Norstar system. I have not heard of this product nor have I used it. Just curious if anyone else has.
TIA B

If it is what I have seen out there. It converts a T1/PRI to analoge POTS line so customer does not need T1 card or keycodes.
If all else fails, use a BFH.

Kinda defeats the purpose of ISDN/PRI in the switch then......hunh!The whole reason they want to upgrade to ISDN is for Caller ID. They already have a T-1. Thanks for the info.

Did some research and some LECS can install a Micromod to make a T1/PRI into a partial/fractional T. You can do the samething with a CSU/DSU if they need chanels for data.
Need more info from customer to find out what there specific application is and what they want it to do.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.
