I am in CT and recently moved up here 6 weeks ago. I came from Long island, NY and I was able to keep my job for 1 reason... I talked them into a new phone system so I could sit at home and answer sales calls as if I never left the office. We bought an IWATSU system and had it installed in NY 3 weeks ago. The tech said all I need to do is have a router and connect it to a cable line, connect the IP Phone to the router and I am in. This did not work. I was then told that we need a Hardware VPN. We bought a firewall and had a network guy install it in NY, I shipped my phone back, he configured it, it worked from his house as a remote location. He shipped me the Firewall and the phone. I bought a switch, connect that to the cable, connected the router and the firewall to the switch, connected my computers to the router and the IP phone to the firewall. I STILL CAN"T CONNECT TO THE PHONES IN NY. I can't get good tech support from anyone at IWATSU, it's like they never did this before. The network guy in NY never did this before either. He thought that since it worked from his house (a different ISP) that it would work here in CT. I have a COX cable modem connection. No problems connecting to my VPN for the company software, but I cannot get the phone to work. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE! I am still getting paid, but I am losing commission on a weekly basis not having this phone hooked up. I would gladly pay a tech to come to my apt. to set it up also. e-mail me [email protected], thanks
