I put in a brand new SBX the other day that needed loads of system speeds set up. So I used the Speed Editor to program all of those, picked a CO group for each one and uploaded those. That went fine.
I also went into system attributes and turned on dial tone detection seeing how it was mentioned in the manual. Finally I lowered the pause timer in system timer since Pause timer is used in lieu of dial tone detection if necessary.
Despite this, if the set is idle, if I press a flex button that I assigned a speed bin, the system grabs the CO Group, waits forever, and then dials.
If I lift the handset (station hot lines to GO Group), and then press the flex button, it dials sooner and within an acceptable time frame.
Is this how it's always been? I've never noticed. Do I need to look at a different timer? Hot Line timer seemed to come to mind but I haven't had a chance to mess with that one yet.
