Thought I would give this forum some activity.
The mobile phone market is in a malaise. I think that most would agree. What do people think will be the next "thing" that has the potential to spur some excitement into what has become a ho-hum segment?
Samsung has already shown (albeit briefly) a foldable unit and word is that Apple and Microsoft are working on their visions for a future device (Apple's is said to be a folding smartphone while Microsoft is creating a folding tablet/computer).
My thought is that the mobile phone market is at a point where devices do about everything they can do...basically act as a miniature computer with the added ability to make and receive calls.
A foldable phone will still perform the same tasks. The only difference will be the form factor.
What do others think?
