Hi All,

Maybe this will help someone else (maybe others have already found a resource?).

I was having problems finding a replacement fan for a OS7100. The original fan had become noisy, but was not throwing an alarm. The original factory fan is a "Nonoise G60115S12C2". Which is apparently mis-named <grin>.

I finally found one.. a "MECHATRONICS 60X60X15MM 12V FAN WITH LOCKED ROTOR ALARM SIGNAL, MODEL G6015M12B2-RH". I ordered it from COOLER GUYS.COM (no affiliation)... $12.95 plus $5.00 shipping (USPS).

Apparently the trick is getting a fan with "Locked Rotor Alarm Signal" as the third wire. Other fans that I tried, would still throw a fan alarm intermittently every 10 to 20 seconds.

While not a "drop in" replacement... (the fan comes with flying leads), I just spliced the new fan onto the old fan leads (soldered, then heat shrink tubing). You could probably get by with "twist and tape" in a pinch. Four screws... two to take the top cover off, two to remove the fan.

Not sure if the fan is the same in other models (OS7200, OS7400).

Good Luck.

Robert
