I am attempting to get a Multi-Tech Systems FaxFinder FF430 set up. I have read their documentation, outlining some pretty strange programming involving analog vm hunt groups, phantom devices, etc. We do not have an analog VM Hunt Group license, and I want to keep this simple. It appears that the directions are specifically designed to pass DID information, all we need to do is have the FaxFinder answer, no routing involved. The FaxFinder is configured to use POTS lines, so I assumed I could simply connect it to SLC ports and it would answer an incoming call routed to that port. Not so. A test set and PolyCom conference phone both work fine on the SLC port, but the FaxFinder refuses to answer. I was just wondering if anyone out there is using a FaxFinder like this, on a simple SLC port? Thank you!
