Hi All,
I am hoping someone has the answer. I have XP pro on my new IBM R51 laptop. It has an internal modem. I can't use Express V4.0 in XP as it doesn't see the modem although it tries to talk to it. It's on Com 3 but uses IRQ 11. I tried Microsoft Virtual PC and ported it thru Com 2 IRQ 3 but express software V4.0 still doesn't work.
Any ideas?

have u tried using windows compatibility, i have used it on older programs and it worked fine.
right click your icon on your desktop, click properties, click on compatibility, check the box in the compatibility mode to windows 95 or windows 98 and try it and see if it works for u

My company ordered alot of new laptops, all toshiba tecra's, They all work with the Mitel express messenger software LOCALLY. Half of them work with Mitel Express messenger, remotely, and half don't. We have triied everything, most of the laptops have exact images of the harddrives loaded from the working laptops, and some of them don't work. Just haul around an external modem.
