I have a hunt group with three lines. AT&T and Qwest all say there lines are clear coming into the dmark. My problem is I have a line that is off hook and I think it's the alarm. How do I busy out the trunk? I have a dum term hooked up to it, but I cant seem to find the right prompt. Please help!

I think that the line cards on the old SX100/200 had dip switches along the front edge to busy them out but it's been a really long time. It may be a case of one of them being in the incorrect position? Just a guess.

I think Ed is correct . I don't have access to my manuals . If you are using GS Trunks one is most like acting like it is LS . Or the Polarity is reversed if using GS . You can check them with a standar analog set and a hunk of jumper wire tie one end to an ac outlet screw strip the other and touch the ring lead you should get DT . Thanks

If you have a terminal, go to the Maintanence side of programming. I am thinking it's under system, then port status, you should be able to busy the B/S/C. My memory is a bit fuzzy but hopefully i'm close.

If he's talking about a SX200 Digital, to busy out a trunk he needs to go to maintenance, then diagnostic, more keys, busy out, bay slot circuit.

On the old analogs you might be able to go to the console and do *51 [trk #] to busy the trunk, and *41 [trk #] to restore it.

*31 or *32 should clear alarms.

That's off the top of my head, and I may be mixed up w/ 20s, or 50s.

Let's see. To clear an alarm on 100/200A 203 thru 217, *8# release, assuming * is the maintenance access code. This clears 1 alarm at a time. If there is a way to clear them all, besides power down-power up, I never found it in the manual. Direct trunk seize is *20 XXX * Forced trunk release is *20 XXX ##.(XXX is 3 digit trunk number) Somebody else chime in w/busy and restore. Switches have to be set correctly on card or busy and restore don't work right. My books are at work or I'd really demo my reading skills. I just happened to work on a 217 11/Aug and my short-term memory held up for a change.
The dip switches on the front of the card are top 4 left, bottom 4 right OR vice-versa, I fergit!
I believe telephoneguy is thinking of the SX10, Super10, SX20, SX50.

I think maint code +1 clears all errors (555+1)

*9XXX* busy out trunk
*9XXX# rts trunk

Above should read assuming * is the attendant function code, as does my response and assumes 555 is maintenance function code.
