if you lift the jumper off coming out of the SX200 on that station and the locked goes away it is the wiring, set etc., if locked stays on possible line card or software. Lifting the jumper will prove the trouble "in or out".

You can try to pull card out with power on and see or that is going to fix your problem. make sure that SL doesn't hooked up to Digital port.

Laundryboy, take telephoneguy's advice... (starting to sound like a comic book here)... a lockout is usually caused by a physical problem in the wiring. If you're a maintenance guy being asked to fix a phone problem, do the basics like checking that all the cords are plugged in properly, replacing the line cord, replacing the phone, maybe even inspect/replace the jack. Beyond that, you need to tell your manager that you need to get a phone technician involved. Unless you really know what you're doing, messing around with the cross-connect or getting into the system programming can cause you a lot more problems than you'll probably solve.

What Westerntelephone, telephoneguy and TECHarry said, to the Nth Degree. You are going to spend WWWAAAAYYYY more money fixin' whatever you mess up, than the service call would have originally cost. No offense meant, but guy you are over your head here. Change the jack(s) in the room, leave the phone(s) unplugged and see what happens. If it is still locked, YOU SHOULD STOP. John C.

Ok, guys. I say enough is enough....these people get on this board looking for quick fixes from Patel Motel. If they don't want to call a tech, which I think is what we make a living doing, then I say let them roll the dice. Pop a card out, reset the system, screw with the programming, and when they're finally at their wit's end, call the person they should have called in the beginning.. the pro, hey, by the way, how do you unstop a tiolet when the roots are invading my pipes? Any cheap suggestions? Hey- my air conditioning isn't working in room 112... it was working before the phone guy got here...jjeeeezzz

I have to assume you would like to hang somebody and give them a chance to survive so you can only be charged with attempted or successful manslaughter, as opposed to murder? Yourself, me, or laundryboy? (I won't rat you out) John C.
