We have a Mitel Sx-50 MS55 system. This is a hotel where guests could dial 9 + 00 to access the Opticom operator. Recently the operator was changed to ATT and Requires customers to dial 9+0 from their rooms. They are unable to dial 9+0 from their rooms, but we are still able to do this from the console. How can we change this so customers can dial 9+0 from their rooms? We are not able to find any technicians that are willing to come to ths town and fix this problem...any help would be appreciated.

This need to be done through programming from the console. The ARS program needs to be modified. The commands are in the 700 range. It is not something the end user should attempt. Where are you located?

Mitel Tech is right,The Console is not in the Automatic Route Selection . You could very well screw everything up,IT IS QUITE A PROCESS!not to be attempted by just anyone, They must be familiar with the SX50, It could also be restricted in the toll programming ,and your previous vendor probably restricted AT&T access. For the time being they could try dialing 9+1+800+CALLATT(2255288)

Mitel Tech and Gene are ssoooo right! I've done this over the phone before, using motel clerk fingers and eyes. Not too bad, IF it's a system you have records of. Otherwise, you are looking at hours, unless it's a non-intensive ARS program. And, when ARS programming is in process, NO OUTBOUND CALLS can be made. That makes the customers real happy! John C.

try dialing *** from the console. If you get modem carrier tone you should be able to find a company that could remote in and make your changes for you without visiting the site. I do agree that walking someone through this over the phone is tough enough, trying to explain it here so someone could do it correctly is darn near impossible.
