I have some hotels with older mitels. they would like to do wake ups like the newer EL/ICPs: repeating daily wake up calls and multiple wake up calls per day. Is there a device that can do this, just give it an analog port and tell it what number to call? they're not going to upgrade the whole system.

Are their voicemail systems capable of the wakeup calls?

If this is a sx200icp just purchase some additional voicemail ports and ensure you have system option 134 enabled. The sx200icp can do multi wakeups without buying additional external equipment. This is also possible on the sx200el, it might be feature level dependant, I would also recommend reserving a couple of dedicated ports strictly for this pupose.

Ok so what is a older Mitel, these days old can be considered a sx200el currently md (manufactured discontinued no manufacturer suppport)and in some cases this also applies to the earlier versions of the sx200icp as well. If old is a sx200 analog then you are correct, you need external equipment to attach to the ons ports.

Just from my experience here is someone is talking "old" it is usually from the 20 to the 200D (including the 50)

Well from where I have been old is anything pre-sx200icp, the sx20, panther, sx50, 100, 200 analogs and sx200d should be labeled very old.

I think the phrase "like the newer EL/ICPs" kind of defines what he means by old...
To get back to the original question, the item you linked from Sandman looks like it would work; basically just using an ONS port to call the guest rooms as requested. If you have an old PC to run it, a place where the FD people can access it, and FD people who will actually learn how to do it... it should work.
If you have voicemail on the systems, also check if the VM can serve some of these functions.

Mitel Guy,
I wasn't trying to dictate what is New, old, very old. I will leave that up to the experts. What I was referring to is what I have "observed" people use as descriptors when describing their systems.
