I have a 3300 MXe going from 9.x to 10.x.
I have the software installer running, it can connect to the MXe. I have FileZilla running with a home directory pointing to a folder that contains the .zip files that i downloaded from Mitel Online.
I enter the IP address my laptop as the file server and I keep getting the message:
"No 3300 load has been found at the specified location. Please verify the FTP server setup."
I have tried unzipping the folders, i tried taking all the files out of the zipped folders so they are just files in the shared folder and it cant seem to find the info. what is it looking for?

There's a version 10? Does that mean our system is out of date if I go to "about system admin" through the web console and it says 9.0.3.15?

Are you sure that there is no firewall blocking the ftp connection? I assume you are running a windows machine

Thanks for the heads up - now to see why we haven't been upgraded or even told of it yet (not surprised).

I hate using IIS. I installed the 3com tftp/ftp 32 daemon on my xp machine. I like the flexibilty it gives me, being able to upgrade both the phone system and network switches/routers too.
Best of all it runs when I want it to and it's free.

If you're looking for a nice free tftp server - Solarwinds.com offers a nice one as well. Used that to flash Cisco and Avaya phones playing with Asterisk at home.

I've used the solarwinds software before. I like the fact that the 3com includes both tftp and ftp.

I use XP Pro FTP server and you have to launch the software and it will extract the files to your specified location, ( XP Pro ) c:\inetpub\ftproot, changable in the software installation process which is seperate from the software installer tool
