Hi, I have a MITEL 3300 system running at my company and we also use "Your Assistant".
Just recently we have been trying some software called QlikView which is a Business Intelligence Query tool for accessing data quickly.
I would like to be able to "capture" the telephone numbers of incoming / outgoing calls and route it to a place where QlikView can access it. QlikView can see SQL table, MS Access Tables, Spreadsheets, .csv or .txt files, in fact, just about any format that holds data.
I am a telephony newby, so be gentle!
Many Thanks Chris

You can see the SMDR logs thru the IP address of the 33000 and socket # 1752

I'm not sure what @Chris Eaton is trying to acomplish.
I think Agent Portal does some monitoring and can pop to apps.
Otherwise, the old free ya lite with it's tapi tsp provides some data that can be passed.
If it's just capturing caller id after the fact, smdr will do that.

Hi Guys,
My friendly MITEL Engineer helped me setup HyperTerminal to view SMDR. Unfortunately this only gives me information after I have taken the call and then put the handset down.
I need to find the telephone number of an incoming call, preferably before I even pick the phone up.
My company database contains a table called Customers, which contains the phone numbers of our customers. What we would like to see happen, is that when the phone rings, the incoming telephone number is passed to a program and that then becomes a "filter" to show us just the database information on that customer.
This is sort of a simple CRM idea.
A number of us are using Your Assistant, which pops up a small window showing us the Number and CallerID of the incoming call. However, I don't know how to "get to" this data, to be able to pass it to my database query.
I shall check out Agent Portal.
Thanks Chris

Sorry i should have given a little more info- the Caller ID your looking for is supplied by your local telephone company, depending on what type of circuit or trunking you have coming into your office will depend on you getting it in the SMDR stream. Your Mitel Engineer should be able to assist you with that
