I have a customer with a Mitel SX-50 (not a system we service very often). What he wants to know, is there a way he can perform a reverse transfer to a cordless from the console?

Are you talking about having unanswerd tranfers ringback to a cordless instead of the console?

Main console is ringing. Owner has a cordless. He wants to press a code (like 4 on the InterTel) then enter the extension to pick up the call.

The default TAFAS (Trunk Answer From Any Station) is '57'. There are also a few COS options that may need to be adjusted.

Sorry checked when I got back to office *21 & *61 are call pickups to answer calls before they return to the console. 57 is the TAFAS default number. Its been a while since I had to remember that.

Just 57 or *57 (the person is an hour south of me).
And thanks for the responses!

Just '57'. As 55'er pointed out, there are a few things that have to be enabled. Firstly, does the console display 'TAFAS' after several rings? Oops, TAFAS does not work for extension-to-console calls. Might want to keep that in mind! There is a work-around, but it's kinda clunky and requires a little 'creative' programming!
