About AMP cable and move it, it's not easy. Anyway, there is a console in use in same cable, so all pairs can not be bad.

Regarding input matching, MUZAK (Music On Hold provider) installed an amplifier in line with output of 600ohms, so it not should be the problem. Also, I'm able to hear music with my butt set on all pairs used so far (R/O, R/S, V/G).

Why do you ask about two consoles working? Thinking on replace console module for MOH module?

THANKS.

You may need to reverse T and R on the MOH card feed, or even use an isolation transformer. There cannot be any DC voltage on the input to the MOH card. It will saturate the transformer on the card and no audio will be able to pass to the MITEL 'side' of the card. (TMI me thinks, just make sure there is no DC voltage on the output of the amplifier.)

Asking about the consoles because they are the only other thing that is using that cable and if it was bad or not fully seated into the back of the bay, as I have often found, the signal would not get through.

We're using right now as a feeder to MOH card a McGohan 1 Watt Amplifier (MODEL MS-11), with a 600ohms / 4dBm output. Is this a correct unit to feed MOH module?
I've reversed T/R but no luck.
With my butt set on pair Black/Brown (02-03-01) on 66-block, I hear music but not too loud; and once I take UNIV card out of slot, the volume comes louder. Does it means something about matching?
What isolation amplifier could I use for this matching?
Thanks one more time and I'm really sorry this issue is taking to long too fix it.

That result indicates that you are connecting to something in the cabinet. Can't believe there is something wrong with both Universal cards. Nothing wrong with MOH/PAGE Module. What is left? How about something really duh in programming! Tenant assignment? something in Form 4? Just FYI, I believe the big black wall mount MOH/PAGE box only works on Lite 17 and up. C'mon guys, this CAN'T be this hard!!!

This should just work. There may be some type of memory space corruption. I don't know if a reboot has been done. You may want to delete all music on hold programming then reboot and reprogram. Grasping at straws here.

I think you have a bad MCC card.

OK, after a reboot, keeping all MOH programming as it was before, I GOT!!! music on hold (volume is a matter now but I think it should be solved with a 6dBm amplifier and not the 4dBm is in use now).

BUT it works only if I call internally (i.e. room to front desk) but it does not work if I call from a cell or external line to hotel, and ask to hold the call. Any option/cos/.. that I should pay attention to?

Thanks.

Today ... good news! MOH works properly now. What was wrong? amplifier on line wasn't giving 1 watt and was distorted.

Thanks to all of you who helped. Sometimes, simplest things are far to reach, included those duh; but anyway, it's been useful to me to review all steps about MOH. Next time, remember ... power cord is plugged, ... :-) Thanks once again!
