We were using this Mitel 5220 IP phone in a remote location using VOIP, but no longer need it there. How can I reprogram it to work in the office on our phone system. The dealer that sold us this system is no longer in business and I have no useful manuals.

Is this a 3300 or 200 ICP? Was it connected remotely via VPN or Teleworker to the phone system?

Don't know about 3300 or 200 ICP, system was sold under a Sprint/Unicom name - the phone was connected via teleworker and I know there was some wierd key sequence to enter the ip address of the teleworker system but I can't find that info. When I plug it into the local system I get a message saying "Main Unavailable - resetting phone..." so it's still looking for that remote ip address

What does the system look like?

Also, if there is a console (Superconsole 1000) press "function" then the blue "F0" (F-zero) softkey. Write down what the display says.

Try removing power from the phone, hold the down arrow and apply power. Manual settings should come up on the phone and if not try the same sequence, only with the up arrow.

Move through the settings until you have the option to use default settings. The phone defaults to dhcp and as long as the system is programmed correctly, the phone should boot and then ask you for the PIN to finish booting up.

I think you hold down 7 while powering up for teleworker settings menu

@JohnP
I know but I wasn't sure it allows you to default the set in that menu.

Holding down '7' while powering up does take you to teleworker menu, then select 'erase' to clear the teleworker setting (remote ip address). Then another power cycle & that fixed it for me. I'll make a note of that and thank you all very much for your help.
