I was wondering if you guys could shed some light on this one. A customer is running POTS lines into a 0x32. The problem lies in transferring a call to an outside line.
Situation #1:Customer calls in and requests an individual that is not in the office. The receptionist can select "Transfer", select an outside line, dial the 10 digit number and "Join" the call. No problem
Situation #2:The receptionist makes an outside call to a coworker. The coworker requests to speak with someone that is not in the office. The receptionist attempts to transfer the call to an external number, but when she selects a line the system won't allow it.
Is this a restriction or a limitation of the system. She cannot transfer to an outside line if she initiated the first call.

Do you know what software version is in the MICS? Let me know and I'll see if I can recreate it on my end as well. Also when she takes an incoming call, do they appear under the line that is ringing in or under her intercom key?

Maybe the link feature is not allowed on her extension. It should be found under Set Restrictions. Try that it may work. Hope that helps.

I seem to remember that you cannot externally transfer a call that you originated on a 0x32. I could be wrong.

You need 4.1 software or newer.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

This is what I do on my system (I have CICS 4.2)
Make 1st call --> Hold. Make 2nd call --> Conf/Trn Then press held line then press Transfer (F70) Hang up.
I don't know if that will work on your version of the MICS

Thanks for the help. The lines are on a button and Link is allowed. I can't recall the software version, but it is probably older than 4.1. Thanks again.
