I have a customer who wants currently installed doorphones on a MICS 6.1 to call a 1800 number. In programing, you can only call internal extentions with the doorphone but I set up a destination code with the 1800 number as dial out digits. It calls the number, but the doorphone places the call on hold. Anyone help?

Thanks,

Jeff Koehler

Did you try setting the door phone to ring to an extension that is set to external fwd to the number?

yes,

with both an ata and a digital set. I get the same problem. For some reason when the call is transfered to an external #, either the system or the doorphone place the call on hold.

How many intercom buttons did you assign to the Door phone? I believe the you are supposed to assign 1. Maybe if you try 2 it won't put the call on hold.
