This is my first experience with "distinctive ringing" service from the Telco. Client has one line on a CICS and the Telco is providing a second number (distinctive ring) for the fax. When I call the fax #, L1 also rings on the CICS.
It is my understanding that only the fax should ring. I have the fax crossed directly to L1, straight from the Telco and not after the CICS.
???
Thanks in advance,

The only way to keep the Norstar from ringing would be to install a distinctive ring switching unit before the KSU which would block the fax ring from getting through to the phone system. As far as I know, Norstar can't distinguish distinctive rings.
