I've been working on setting up a StarTalk system with only 2 extensions & 2 lines, and all is fine except for one annoying point: if one extension is busy (say, ext. 22), and another call comes in for ext. 22, instead of going directly into the VM on ext. 22, the call rings on the other ext., 23. (and vice versa)
When this happens, the display on ext. 23 shows, for example, "LINE 01>FRED" (FRED being the name on ext. 22, where the call should be going into VM).
Any ideas on this?

The information that you provide regarding the display is important. It looks like one set is programmed to forward to the other on a Busy, rather than forwarding to the VM DN. If this is not the case, more information will be needed regarding call flow. Are calls on both lines being answered by AA?...etc ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

Thanks...I'll check the phones for forwarding.
Just in case though (since it seems really unlikely that one phone would "accidentally" be set to forward to the other on busy, and the other phone would also "accidentally" be set exactly in reverse -- unless this is default behavior?): Both lines are answered by AA with a custom greeting, then the "automated" options for entering extensions or company directory, etc.
Thanks again.
