Does anyone know of a website that can give you information on lightening strikes in certain locations like when and where info. I just had a bad day in griderland. A hard drive on a system crashed and I suspect lightening. Would be real cool if I could verify lightening in the area overnight.

We've had a few insruance companies verify damage claims using a service like this ... https://stormdata.vaisala.com/ww/faq/FAQ.html;jsessionid=vpaoaloggpd . Not sure how much it cost.

John, you might try Weatherbug. They track the lightning strikes over the whole country, and provide a desktop for weather solutions, too. The basic package is free, but to get a lot more bells & whistles, I think it's under $20.
