I'm trying to avoid using a punch block to connect stations to my KSU...so I want to try to find a connector with modular jacks. I found one at phonegeeks.com, but it was $108. Too expensive for just a conector. Anyone know of something cheaper?

What system? 4 wire? We can get one much cheaper, but it is actually quite a bit more work to do the cabling if you use an adapter rather than a punch-down.

What type of system is it? Are you saying that the system provides an amphanol connector for the station ports? you can get a pre-wired 66 block to mod. with an amp connector on it or you could use what most of us refer to as a "harmonica" You can get either of these according to your Specs. any good vendor should have these. I'm looking at a 8 port, 6 pin harmonica in the TeleDynamics catalog for $ 14.00 The prewired 66 blocks are usally $35.00 to $45.00 depending and you will need an Amp. cable as well.

You can get the blocks that MeGemini is talking about at Graybar or any other telecom supplier in your area.

It's a norstar..so yes it has an amphenol connector for the stations. I suppose a harmonica adaptor would work, but one with single pairs would probably be easier. Teledynamics won't work for me, I'm not a dealer. And I can't seem to find anything at Graybar. Any other sources? If I go with a harmonica adaptor, how would I go about connect my MOH source?

I have used cat3 patch panels on a few jobs because thats the way the customer wanted it,that way to can get a port for all your pairs, just be sure and tell the customer it's a little more costly to do it that way. Or if it's yours then it's your choice but it works really well for single pair connections.

Graybar sells a one pair harmonica. I use one for demos and training of customers on the CICS.
Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

DTMF is right on with the patch panel. Get a blank panel and use voice grade jacks. come off your system with a 25 pair amp cable and fan it out to the voice grade jacks and dress it up in the back. Leviton & ICC both have blank panels as I'm sure quite a few other brands. This way you can keep the end user from having to open the cabinet. You could terminate your field wiring the same way and use line cords as patch cords.
