Have a customer who has CLID and when he is on the phone line 1 and line 2 is ringing is there a feature to press to see who the second caller is ..811 works for the line you are on .T.I.A.

I don't think he is asking about C/W CLID.

Depending on the software version, it will show the other lines. I have a CICS in my office/house with 6.1, all ringing lines showing CLID on all sets, even if the phone is in use on another line, without pushing F811.

You can view caller ID information on CICS all s/w if its programmed under teleco feature under each set. However if its not programmed you still can view the CLID information using feature 811 an pressing the second line or a line on hold but you can't view a CLID information on the same line for the second call (Call waiting CLID). I hope that helps.

Thanks Guys ,I wasn't too clear in my question but you gave me the answer and I have a happy customer ,,what he wants is when he is talking on eg. line one and a call is ringing on line two ,he wanted to see who it is without interrupting his first call ,so I just gave him a memory btn with 811 on it and he just presses it and line two with no problem and sees the second caller with no interruption to his first call. thanks again
