Hi everyone,
I'm new to Nortel, I have a customer who is having a CICS, 3 CO lines, 8 exts with VM; as the customer is going to add 2 more CO lines; we are ordering a new 4-port CID Trunk card for them.
Could someone advice me which programming should I go into for this change? Thanks a lot!

power down the cics throw in the ci card power up
then add the 2 extra lines lines to your sets in line assignment or if your using pool out then put theses lines in pool and set them in pool a in line setup make sure in line settings they are set to touch tone and supervised as well
hope this helps

Just remember the numbering sequence. The first card has trunk numbers 1-4. The second card (depending on your software level) has bigger numbers. Some software the lines are 25 - 28 and the later software it is 31 - 34. So if you program lines 5 - 8, you will wasting your time and cause much frustration.

Thanks guys!
Someone told me that I have to open the CICS and read all the card numbers and find out if that CICS is restricted to be upgrade?! But what should I looking for?
So, I asked the customer to open it and it seems pretty tough to have it open.
Can someone shed some lights?
By the way, do I need to do anything for the CID?

Open the KSU??

In maintenance you can read the software SP code. This will reveal software rev and any restrictions that are on the software.
