Here is a possible work around. Find yourself a good Pre-system fax switch. It does work because I did have to do this. You need to have a free Trunk port. Fax comes in. someone answers the phone. Before they get to far in their hello the switch hears the fax tone. Cuts the call off and puts the call out the fax port on the switch. Run that port into an open trunk port. Set your ATA to answer that port and do not show it anywhere else. So when a fax comes in, nobody has to try to transfer a call or forget where to send it. And of course the fax switch is now sending a "busy" tone to the orig trunk until the fax is complete so that nobody interupts the fax by picking up that line to dial out. Don't forget to make the fax answer on 1 ring. I hate dedicated fax machine that won't answer until 4,5, or 6 rings. NOTE: This is only good for someone using a fax line on the phone system as well.

Sounds like I picked the right option. I had them remove the number from the rollover and the "DIL" the line to the IATA. They can still call out that line, but it don't confuse them on incoming calls.

Appreciate all the help

Never blame on malice, what can be adequately attributed to STUPIDITY!!

That is the best solution to handle fax and allow the line for use as outbound only.
