Hello phone gods. =)

We have a MICS 7.0 with a Call Pilot 150. The phone techs "Shared Technologies" setup the phone system and all is well.

One thing though. They setup a Hunt Group for when the receptionist is away from the front desk. I need to know how to program another phone to have a button assigned to this hunt group. I notice when I do a feature *0 for the other phones that have this Hunt Group button are assigned to "HG01: HG01". I can't seem to find the code to let me program a button to this Hunt Group 01.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to phone systems. =)

Need to access programming. Got to system programming, hit show. It will then show you the hunt group programming section. After you add the extension, it will let you pick the option of appear only, appear and ring, or ring only.

Good Luck!!

JJ, Thanks for the reply.

Wouldn't adding the extension to this Hunt Group make it ring on one of their available intercom buttons?

The Hunt Group phones have their 2 Intercom keys for internal/external calling and they have a third button above it assigned to HG01? Is there away to assign a button to this HG01? Or am I just thinking this could've been easy?

I was hoping their was a feature code to add a hunt group to a button... Thought it would be easy... maybe I thought wrong?

I see the other extensions in the Hunt Group... I'll add this new one. But how do I assign it to a different button? And what should I chose appear only, appear and ring or ring only?

They are set to appear and ring. I'll just leave it. I added this new extension to the Hunt Group... sweet. I just need to figure out how to make a button ring this Hunt Group like the rest of them. =)

So get this... I'm sure you knew already.

When I added that extension to the Hunt Group it automatically put the HG01 button on the phone? Strange. And it chose which button to assign it to? phones! haha

that's the way it works. If you don't like the location of the button you can move it with F*81.

If you select Appear or Appear/Ring it automatically shows up on the phone. If you select Ring ONLY, then it will ring on the intercom button.
