I have found plenty of places suggesting the BCM 50 is capable of running "up to 10" vm ports. My question is how many ports do I have available the day I pull it out of the box and how do I add more should I need to? Thanks

You have 10 available when you pull it out of the box, and you can't add more.

No keycodes are required to activate those ports. They're enabled from the factory.
