This is connected to a CICS 6.1 and showing inactive feature (was working before) I have off course rebooted several times, reseated flash card, and verified port from CICS is good. I even looked at Port/DN status and it shows the Vmail port is connected.
Any other CPR I can perform before I just replace it?

Did you try the alternate feature codes?

You could also follow the proceedure to test & remove the inactive features.

I will bet the programming was wiped out. Try F903. If this is the case and have any soldering skills, replace the cap on the voicemail board.

If maintenance show that the voice mail is connected, then the Flash has defaulted and needs to be reprogrammed from scratch. This is a common problem with Flash voice mails especially after a power failure.

You should know how to delete inactive feature codes and start from scratch.
For obvious reasons we can not give you step by step instructions on that.
That information is beyond the scope of the site. Sorry.

If F903 didn't work, connect a laptop to the Flash and watch it boot up. I'm guessing, but the Flash might show up in maintenance/port dn status, but still be bad.

Does the Flash have one of these caps, just like the main unit? I did not know that. So that cap can be replaced? What is the specs on the cap and where can I buy one. I just hung up the phone with a customer that his flash just lost it all.

Yes, the flash has a cap. I replaced a flash that kept loosing programming after power outages with a CP 100 and kept the flash. Went to www.refurbsupplies.com and ordered a couple of flash caps (plus ones for the 8x24 cabinet and sleave). Replaced the cap on the flash and its working fine. I was also successful with the 8x24.
