Never heard of a digital buttset. What would be the purpose, you could carry around a 7316 so cheap and program anything.
I could be wrong, but I suspect there is no such thing as a Nortel digital buttset. There are buttsets that are DSL safe from intrusion, that would be a digital feature but not a digital buttset.

When using the term 'digital buttset', are you referring to monitoring/testing 2-wire ISDN BRIs?

There are boxes called TBerds that are about the size of a computer and are used for setting up T-1 and PRI circuits. A Nortel tech would not be using anything like this once a circuit was up and running.
Also these can easily cost more than $15,000 new so I don't know if that would be in your budget.
