I connected a 6 port Forum II conference bridge to a an ASM. I can dial in on the ports, but when the caller hangs up, the ports on the conference bridge do not release. I test this bridge on a Merlin Legend, and did not have the same problem, so I am assuming that there is some programming on the ASM I am missing?

As per this link NT doesnt support loop current interrupt - the bridge can be trained to detect the busy/disconnect signal

it appears the the ASM doesn't send any kind of disconnect signal to begin with. This is really strange. Has anyone else ran across this?

Viking Electronics makes a CPC-1 that I use where there are no disconnect signals on a voip line. That should work.

Mike Sandman also has some equipment like the CPC-1 but there are different models for what is happening and the Viking just seems to be fine.

No.

But a VMI can provide programmable DTMF tone on disconnect.
