I'm rebuilding a system after a default, and as I'm flying through setting up the customer's mailboxes, I inadvertently set two of them as info mailboxes. I cannot seem to delete these bad boys through normal channels.

Can one of you Norstar professionados share with me the trick to this?

You are going into 983 with the admin password and going to mailboxes and putting delete and the mailbox number and you don't get to delete???

What voice mail and version?
How many mailboxes do you need?
Did you reinstall?

Yes, I go into admin programming, and after I choose MBOX, DEL, and when I enter the mb number at the prompt, all it does is say "Info mailbox" for three seconds, and goes back to the "Mbox:" prompt. It does the same thing when I go to "Change" to edit the box.

It is a Startalk Flash 1.7.0 I am requiring 24 Mailboxes, and yes, I did a re-install.

The problem came when I was adding Mailboxes, and I wasn't paying attention as closely as I should have been, and ended up puting two mailboxes in as Info mailboxes. I noticed when it didn't ask me to assign it an extention.

I was just hoping to not have to wipe it again. I was hoping there were one of those codes to punch in to get it done.

Flash probably won't let you delete the MB if the option is still set up in the CCR.

Same thing in reverse when you are setting up CCR and the MB hasn't been set up.

Dave, I haven't even got to the CCR yet. Nothing has been set up.

If it's just a few basics that are done so far, why not reinstall it again? Fast/simple. Admin programming should have permitted you to delete it though if it's not setup in CCR.

While you're at it, you may want to upgrade the s/w. I have a 1.9 Eng/Spanish here that I'd sell real cheap. I have very few Spanish clients up here. laugh

Thanks, I'll just start over.

I'm doing this for a school that purchased it through county surplus. They are feeling the budget crunch, so I'm just helping them out, so when they do want to upgrade to new - I'll be their guy.

Thanks for the advise.

Have you tried going into "Change" then the mailbox number and see if you could do anything.

This is very unusual, sometimes you find a bug no one else has seen.

You are in subscriber mode and trying to delete an info box. You must switch to info box mode.

On the mailbox admin screen press 1 to change to info box admin. Now you can delete the info boxes.
