I have a customer that asked how he can mute himself from a conference call using a M9216e.
I've tried pressing the Dial/Listen button but it doesn't mute the call.
Is there something i have to change into the programming?
Thanks

That phone is NOT a system phone, just a "SLT". No programming involved....just hangup & he'll be disconnected from the conference call.

thanks MooreTel, how can I do the same on a M7310? My M7310 has a mute button and when I lift the handset it overrides the mute but I can hit the handsfree again to mute it...
I gave the customer a M7310 but the programming on it is different when the handset is lifted he can't mute.... it goes on the speakerphone and mutes the mic... customer wants the handset lifted with the mute turned on.
I haven't been doing phone systems in a while but I can navigate around. Please help
Thanks

That doesn't even make sense. You can't replace a M9216e with a M7310. The M7310 is a system phone. Did you install a system? The client needs a M9316 if he wants a SLT. That one has a handsfree/mute button. Originally posted by jomnette: ....My M7310 has a mute button and when I lift the handset it overrides the mute but I can hit the handsfree again to mute it... It's not overriding the mute, it's cancelling the handsfree/mute. By lifting the handset & pressing the handsfree/mute you're cancelling the handset then on your M7310. Ain't going to happen. You can't have it both ways.

Ok thanks for the replies.
customer did his own search and found out we can't do what he needs. He'll just cover the mouth piece he said.
